Tranquility Retreat

Tranquillity is a feeling of being at peace with yourself and your life. It is the feeling you have while sitting under a starry sky listening to the crackling of a campfire, or reading in front of the fireplace on a snowy afternoon. The nordic word for this is hygge, and it can best be found by carving out time free from the grind of regular life.

My vision for Deer Lake Wilderness Retreat is to create an environment where my guests can relax in nature, reflect on life and restore their soul by spending time together and building deep connections. With that in mind I’m looking forward to hosting the third Deer Lake Wilderness Tranquility Retreat.

If you are craving some tranquility, join a group of likeminded women for a winter getaway in the Almaguin Highlands. Enjoy homemade meals and participate in the activities being offered such as vision boarding and snowshoeing, or simply relax with a book by the fire. If you have something you want to offer such as leading a yoga class please let me know. There is no pressure to do anything though, the goal is to leave your cares behind for a few days.

Testimonial

"

I recently had the joy of spending three nights in the Stargazer Geodome at the Tranquility Retreat. I will not soon forget lying in bed gazing up at the stars, listening to the rain, or the early morning chatter of the birds. The Geodome combines the best of camping, the quiet calm or nature, with the comforts of a luxury hotel room. Sara has carefully curated Deer Lake to be a cozy, creative and ultimately inspiring space. My stay afforded a break from my hectic, city life, and a chance to refocus on what is truly important. The Tranquility Retreat provided the perfect opportunity to rest and reflect." ~Aileen
